Hélène Sallon is a Middle East correspondent for French daily newspaper Le Monde, where she covers Iraq, Syria, Jordan and Egypt, among other countries. Before joining Le Monde in 2010, she lived and conducted academic research in Israel/Palestine (2003-08) and Egypt (1999-2000).
