Anthony L. Fargo is an associate professor of journalism in The Media School at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, USA. He also is the director of the Center for International Media Law and Policy Studies at IU. He earned his MA and Ph.D. at the University of Florida and his BA at Morehead State University. He has published numerous scholarly articles on the legal implications of journalists’ relationships with confidential news sources and on the right to publish anonymously. Before entering academics, he was an award-winning newspaper reporter and editor in the United States.
